A senior officer said that Ganji resided in flat no 311 of Narmada apartments behind Oshiwara police station and he was unemployed. His family has alleged that someone entered the house and shot him in the chest.
According to the prosecution, the family owned a hotel, Uttam da Dhaba, in Marol, Andheri, which was given out to three persons to run at a monthly rent of Rs 1.50 lakh. The rent was divided between Rajendrasingh and four of his brothers or their families.
S V R Srinivas, principal secretary, Information Technology and the Adjudicating Officer, also pulled up the telecom service company and the mercantile bank where the firm held the man’s account, for failing to secure his confidential data.
The four claimed before the court that they themselves were victims of the racket as they were given the impression that they were adopting the children. The four children allegedly purchased by them were rescued and are residing in a children’s home in Mankhurd.
“We have registered an FIR against Khan for sharing and putting up videos that could promote enmity between two groups of people. He has been arrested by BKC cyber police station personnel,” Mumbai police spokesperson DCP Manjunath Singe said.
