DEPUTY CHIEF Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray are engaged in a verbal dual over the arrest of drug kingpin Lalit Patil.
Fadnavis on Friday said Patil was made Nashik Shiv Sena chief by Thackeray. “When he was first arrested Thackeray was the CM heading the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. The MVA government did not file application asking for his examination by medical board. He was neither interrogated.”
According to Fadnavis, “After the 14 days’ remand there was no application seeking extension. Without interrogation how could he be convicted.” Therefore, he emphasised, “The question is who allowed Lalit Patil to escape. Who gave him political patronage?”
“Lalit Patil was Nashik Shiv Sena chief when he was arrested. Who made him Nashik Sena chief. There are many issues in this case which we will exposed,” he said.
