Ex-minister Dhananjay Munde remains absent from Ajit Pawar’s Beed tour
Munde on Wednesday morning announced on social media X that he is unwell and is in Mumbai to address health issues. Pawar too informed the same during his tour.

Former minister and local NCP MLA Dhananjay Munde on Wednesday remained absent from the Beed district tour of Deputy CM and district guardian minister Ajit Pawar, citing health reasons.
Munde on Wednesday morning announced on social media X that he is unwell and is in Mumbai to address health issues. Pawar too informed the same during his tour.
This was Ajit Pawar’s first tour of Beed district after Munde submitted his resignation from the ministership three weeks ago. Munde resigned after close aide Walmik Karad was arrested and faced charges in the murder of Massajog village sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh.
Since then, Munde is absent from public forums. Even as he cited health reasons to skip Ajit Pawar’s Beed tour, Munde reportedly attended a fashion show in south Mumbai on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar during his tour warned various criminal gangs working in the district that he won’t allow criminal activities.
“There are various gangs I heard are working. Rakh (ash) gang, Valu (sand) gang, Bhukhand (land) gang. I won’t allow it henceforth. You may have seen them functioning before, but not now,” he said.
Murder of Santosh Deshmukh is said to be a result of extortion attempt of local industry by a gang of criminals led by Walmik Karad. Pawar was specifically asked to take over the guardian ministership of Beed to tackle this issue.
