Representatives of Aman Peace Committee,All India Ulema Council,Memon Samaj,Muslim Front and Movement for Human Welfare met the Anti-Terrorism Squad chief K P Raghuvanshi on Tuesday asking the ATS not to go behind a community while investigating the Pune blasts.
We requested the ATS team to probe the matter with utmost transparency and not to go behind a community. In some earlier instances, the investigating teams have been going behind the minority community with clear biases. We have told him that we will support the investigation if it arrests the right accused, irrespective of the community, said Dr Azimmuddin from the Movement for Human Welfare. The group was assured by the agency that arrests will be based on proper investigative evidences. The ATS has been slammed by minority committees for arrests in Malegaon blast and 7/11.
