Cloud cover from heat

There was a slight drop in the daytime temperatures in the city on Friday. Santacruz recorded 33.7°C maximum temperature at 8 am while in Colaba it was 35.5°C.

There was a slight drop in the daytime temperatures in the city on Friday. Santacruz recorded 33.7°C maximum temperature at 8 am while in Colaba it was 35.5°C. At 5.30 pm,Santacruz saw a slight rise to 34.2°C while Colaba remained consistent at 35.4°C. The minimum temperatures hovered around 27-28°C.  

“Partial clouding brought down the temperatures slightly. But we are not expecting thundershowers in Mumbai yet,” an IMD official said.

Meanwhile,the relative humidity in the city continued to soar,touching 80 per cent in Colaba and 69 per cent in Santacruz. Partly cloudy skies and temperatures hovering around 34°C maximum and 27 °C minimum have been forecast for the next 48 hours.
