Hit-and-run victim loses leg

The 23-year-old,who was seriously injured after a car

driven by Ankush Shahra (24),the son of a corporate honcho hit his bike last Sunday,has had his right leg amputated to prevent infection spreading in his body,the police said on Sunday. Alauddin Imamuddin Haqs leg has been removed during the operation at the Bombay Hospital on Saturday

following gangrene, S S More,sub-inspector at Marine Drive police station,said.
