Salvage experts find phosphineon MSC Chitra
Salvage experts from Rotterdam-based firm Smit found traces of phosphine,an inflammable gas,after they successfully boarded MSC Chitra Tuesday,the Director General (Shipping) said Wednesday. The find could be an indication that containers carrying aluminium phosphide had fallen in the ship’s hold. The DG (Shipping) said there is,however,no indication of any phosphine in the air outside the ship.
