Naik roots for water transportation

In a bid to reduce the travelling time between Mumbai and its satellite cities in Thane district and to reduce traffic congestion,Excise Minister Ganesh Naik has sought an immediate survey for a channel for water transport from Navi Mumbai and Thane to Mumbai. He was speaking at a meeting with senior officials from the state Maritime Board,MMRDA,MSRDC and other departments.
