The MSRDC had subsequently appointed a contractor. However, work could not take off because of lack of required bearings that were to be replaced. The no objection certificate from the traffic department was also pending, officials added.
The total project cost will be Rs 41,830 crore. Apart from the loan component of Rs 28,000 crore, sources said the remaining Rs 13,830 crore relates to engineering, administrative and other expenditure, which would be borne by the MSRDC.
