I was always terrible with Math but brilliant in Chemistry. Ive never understood the dynamics between myself and the subject but it was just there. I could understand the most combustible equation but somehow could never figure out the simplest x + y problem in Algebra. It is probably because of this that I am able to recognise the zazazoo factor between two people, otherwise commonly known as Chemistry.
Life is a charade and we love to be a part of it. The last few weeks have seen me being an integral part of various parties and came away all to smell the Chemistry a mile away.
At Hemant Trevedis show, the mentally-challenged children put up an incredible show. While they walked the ramp a little nervous,it was when they came to the edge and recognised their teacher and mentor Radhika that their eyes lit up and their smile widened. Her hands met involuntarily as did her smile and tears. There was no denying the chemistry between the teacher and the child.
At Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundras party, the couple looked radiant in each others company. Despite all the media attention,I saw them sneak a private second to reconnect without attracting any attention at all. They will make it to the altar,Im convinced. For what I witnessed was real, comfortable and reassuring again.
I had the privilege of lifetime to hear and see Lang Lang, the 26-year-old spunky world renowned pianist at the Homi Bhabha auditorium. I have seen maestro Zubin Mehta a dozen times and, after all the performances, while Lang Langs chemistry was with his grand piano,it was almost like the instrument and the player were merged into one. The Chemistry between Yitzak Peachman and Zubin Mehta to me is unbeatable. The baton and the violin are in unison with just a mere glance from the conductor.
For me personally, real Chemistry is what I felt a couple of days ago. I had the tiniest, smallest bruise under my left eye. No one noticed it and so I didnt bother to conceal it with makeup either. It was at 7 am,when my twins jumped into my bed, pulled the duvet off my face and just like that,I knew they saw the bruise. It was that tiny second, that look that no one can rob if you have it. In unison, the three of us yelled Magic Kiss and I knew this was more than love. It was our chemistry. My combustible terrors!
