The way of Buddha
Ravi Dubey, lead actor of the show Ranbir Rano,is impressing everyone on the sets with his unflinching adherence to Buddhism. The 24-year-old is seen chanting Buddhist mantras on the sets all the time and is even taking time out to teach some to his fellow cast. In fact, his co-workers are so impressed by his lifestyle that they’re seriously considering converting to Buddhism. But what caused Dubey to take up Buddhism anyway? The actor reveals that about five years ago he was going through such a rough phase that he seriously considered taking his own life. That was when a close friend introduced him to Buddhism and since then, there’s been no looking back.

Sweet revenge
Things keep getting pettier and pettier on the sets of Indian Idol. When Annu Malek came back to the show after his absence,he said that he was sure his co-judge Kailash Kher would never make fun of him behind his back. Javed Akhtar however put an end to that belief by saying that not only has Kailash made jokes at Annu’s expense,he had also brought a large cut out of him on the show and had mimicked his contents. But it was left to Sonali Bendre to carry out the ultimate act of insult — she put a tape across Annu’s mouth — not the real person,of course, but the cut out. On hearing this,Annu shot back by saying that next time the other judges wanted any help from him during the audition round,he won’t give it to them. At this,Sonali could only express her rage through her shocked silence.

Comic duo
Sit back and enjoy the all new mayhem on SAB TV’s hit comedy show Main Kab Saas Banoongi. The show gets a new comic twist with the entry of Kishwer Merchant and Upasna Singh. The duo will play the new ‘saas-bahu jodi’ that joins the Bajaj household as servants. The two bring in a dose of rustic humour as they cause mayhem with their rural mannerisms and fight with and curse one another over every petty issue. Speaking of her role on the show,Merchant says that she’s thrilled to be part of the project. “Comedy has always been a sphere that I’ve wanted to explore,” she says.
