The state government has decided to set aside a six-hectare government-owned plot at Badnera, Amravati for a permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
The institute has been functioning in Maharashtra from 2011-12 from the Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University.
The land has been given on a 30-year lease for a nominal amount of one rupee. The institute would start construction within three years of receiving the plot.
