An ‘open library’,dedicated to photography,is being held at Piramal Gallery,NCPA. An initiative by the organisation Photo Corner,it brings a collection of over 200 books and journals for free browsing and reading for photography enthusiasts. “There isn’t a single library in the city that caters to people interested in reading about photography, and the books are too expensive to afford, usually priced over Rs 3,000. This open library can be a great place for them,” said Mulchand Dedhia,co-proprietor of Photo Corner, who plans to take the concept to other spaces in the city as well. ‘The Open Library’ that opened on World Photography Day,August 19,will be on till August 26.
