Anti-ragging campaign nationwide

College students across the city will start a nationwide campaign against ragging.

College students across the city will start a nationwide campaign against ragging. At the end of this month-long campaign, students aim to collect about a lakh signatures vowing to not rag their juniors.

Titled ‘Bus Aur Nahin’,the campaign will start from KC College in Mumbai on Monday and will later take place in other eight major cities. The group will travel across the country in the ‘Anti-Ragging Bus’ and aim to cover at least 40 colleges in every city. The group plans to visit each and every city college and put up signature canvases where students will pledge to not rag their juniors. “Ragging is a viscous circle as all those who have been ragged get filled with vengeance and rag their juniors. To put an end to this we need students to understand the issue and take an oath that they will not rag their juniors,” said Bhavin Parmar,a TY BCom student of KC college and one of the core group organiaers of the campaign.
