The Mumbai police on Tuesday submitted all the relevant sanctions from different authorities,including the state and central governments,to facilitate the special sessions court to frame charges against Ajmal Kasab and co-accused Fahim Ansari and Sabahuddin Ahmed facing trial in the 26/11 attacks case.

Special Judge M L Tahaliyani had directed the police on Monday to procured the sanctions from the authorities under various acts to submit it to the court.

Accordingly sanctions under the Customs Act (by illegally bringing firearms to India),infringement of Explosives Act and Explosives Substances Act (using explosives) and Arms Act and sanction for prosecution of the accused for “waging war on the nation” have been submitted.

The special court is likely to frame charges against Kasab and two other accused on Wednesday.
