14 injured as two buses collide

Fourteen passengers,including a woman,were injured after a BEST and a state transport bus collided near Jawahar Nagar along S V Road in Goregaon (West) Sunday.

Sudhakar Patil (48),driver of the MSRTC bus,and BEST bus conductor Netaji Mandavkar (29) were also injured in the accident. The injured were taken to Siddharth Hospital in Goregaon (West).

Civic hospitals to get more MRI machines

With the infrastructure for procedures such as Computerised Tomography scans (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans (MRI) unable to meet the rising demand,BMC has decided to procure two more MRI and six CT scan machines at its hospitals. The civic body has issued tenders for these.
