SP’s guard found dead

The police are trying to ascertain whether it was a suicide or accidental firing. A post-mortem has been conducted and details are awaited. Harsh Kumar Bansal,SP City-1 who is investigating the matter,said,“The incident occurred around 1.30 in the afternoon or a little later as the second gunman,who was sleeping in the adjacent room,had seen Gyan Chand around 1 pm.”

Chand’s room is right next to the entrance of the house.

While Bansal said the cause of death is being probed into,sources said Chand had committed suicide as last year too he had tried to end his life.

Bansal said,“We have talked to the police personnel posted along with Chand,but we are yet to talk to his family. The family is under trauma and we will have to wait for some time before we can talk to them.”

Chand was posted at SP City-2’s residence six months ago. The incident occurred in a room where both the windows and the doors were closed,as a result of which,no one heard the gunshot.
