*Indian Heritage Quiz 2014 organised by INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Culture Heritage) preliminary round was held on August 8, 2014, at Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, on Friday. Around 130 students participated from different schools. Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, stood first, Delhi Public School stood second and the host school secured third rank in quiz.

* Simranjeet Kaur, a student of Master Tara Singh College for Women, secured fourth rank in university with 83.5% marks in MA in Music (Vocal) semester II examination held by Panjab University, Chandigarh, as per results announced on Thursday.

* A meditation session for faculty members was organised at DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, on Friday. It was organised by Rotary Club, Ludhiana.

* Teej celebrations were held at Khalsa College for Women and Khalsa Institute of Management and Technology, Civil Lines, on Friday.
