Three robbers targeted a home on Islamia school road and ran away with Rs 1.5 lakh cash and 15 tolas of gold after taking a mother and son hostage on Wednesday. The accused were captured in CCTV cameras installed in the area.

The incident happened in the home of Subash Chander who runs a book shop in old city area. At the time of the incident, his wife Kiran and son Rajat were at home. Rajat stated that the accused entered in and pushed him while demanding cash and gold. When he tried to overpower the accused and raised an alarm one of the accused thrashed him and tied with rope. The accused also threatened them with sharp edge weapons.

Division number 3 police scanned the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area and found that one accused fled in a different direction after the incident.
An FIR was registered against unidentified men and no one was arrested at the time of filing this report.
