Man caught with US-made pistol

ADCP Bhupinder Singh informed that Jagjit was caught at a naka while the latter was commuting on a bullet motorcycle.

“When we asked him to produce the papers of the motorcycle,he failed to do so. On checking,we found the pistol.”

“Jagjit has confessed to us that he is not on good terms with Harbant Singh alias Raju,who works as a personal assistant for the councilor. “

“Jagjit claims that some time back he was attacked by the goons of Harbant Singh and wanted to take revenge. he had bought this pistol for Rs 20,000 with the aim to eliminate Harbant Singh,” added the ADCP.

While the reason for the enmity between Jagjit and Harbant is not too clear,it has been learnt that a woman angle is the main twist in the story.

Meanwhile,Sokhi said,“I have no clue who this Jagjit Singh is. I do not have any personal assistant but I do know Harbant Singh who is close to me.”

“However,dragging my name in an issue that has nothing to do with me is very wrong.”

“I have lodged my protest with the police commissioner too. The police should have at least informed me before dragging my name in the case.”

Sokhi adds,“I have been told that Jagjit is a drug addict and is addicted to smack. Actually,this is a case of drugs and weapons which has nothing to do with me. The police need to look into these issue.”

Jagjit is currently in police custody.
