He added,“I am getting extreme happiness in doing jan sewa and will die doing the same.”

Anna said,“In Maharashtra,I exposed six MLAs,4,00 officers who had to pay for their corrupt practices. If I alone can do this,why cannot you all do the same? A supari was given to kill me,but the person refused to take that supari.”

“Every year,60,000 Army jawans retire. If I alone can do so much,60,000 can do much more,” he said. “I got Rs 55 lakh as cash prizes from different organisations at national and international level which I have kept in a trust. With the interest on that money,I marry off the needy girls every year.”

While Anna clarified that he never wanted to float a political party,a few supporters on the stage asked him to float a party. Ranjit Singh,one of the speakers and a SAD supporter,said,“Annaji and Gen V K Singh should clarify as whether they want to float a party or not. They must do so and field their candidates if a change is to be brought. The ruling alliance is with you in this task.”

Before addressing the public rally,Anna held a road show where he along with Gen (Retd) V K Singh was seen standing in the open truck. However,on Brown Road,the garbage machines welcomed the convoy as sewer cleaning exercise was on. In addition to this,low-hanging electricity wires near Luxmi Cinema forced Anna and his team to sit inside.

There were not many people to greet them during the road show.
