Guard opens fire in fit of anger

Kartar Singh,a bank guard deployed outside the city Union Bank on Gill Road fired in a fit of anger while he was fighting with a group of three people today.

Kartar Singh,a bank guard deployed outside the city Union Bank on Gill Road fired in a fit of anger while he was fighting with a group of three people today.

Although the guard had aimed the shot towards the persons who were fighting with him,he hurt a passer-by,Mohinder Kaur. She has been admitted to a private hospital and is stated to be out of danger. Kaur sustained minor injury on the shoulder.

According to the details available,Kartar’s nephew had taken Rs 1.36 lakh from Rahul,Lakhwinder Kaur and Arvinder Kaur but he was not giving this money back to them. Kartar had taken the guarantee of his nephew. Today when the trio came to talk with the bank guard,the discussion turned into a heated argument.

The trio were asking the guard to get their money returned. The argument continued for few minutes,after which Kartar aimed his gun towards Lakhwinder Kaur.

She was escaped unhurt and commuter Mohinder Kaur was injured.

SHO Balwinder Singh of Shimlapuri police station registered an FIR against Kartar Singh and he was arrested.
