English teaching workshop held

Following the guidelines of the State Project Director,Education for All,Punjab and Chandigarh,a four-day English Language Teaching (ELT) workshop was organised at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET). It was held under the supervision of Prof Baldev Singh,vice-principal,DIET,Jagraon,in which 50 teachers participated.

Resourcepersons Des Raj Singh,Dharm Singh,Sudhir Jhanji,Shiwani,Manmohan Singh and Jagdeep Singh imparted basic and fundamental training for the use of pronouns,grammar,syllable division and sound production and much more in the full sentences and spoken form.

Baldev Singh explained to the teachers as to how to express themselves through mode of chanting and singing song and give personal introduction etc. Participants were divided into groups for group activities,presentation,field evaluation and group demonstration for effective,result-oriented teaching of English.
