LUDHIANA: A training camp for PAU Kisan Club (women wing) will be held on June 2 at Kairon Kisan Ghar (KKG),located in the university premises,said Director of Extension Education-cum-Programme Director,Dr M S Gill. Experts from the PAU Department of Food and Nutrition will impart practical training to the participants pertaining to the preparation of summer drinks and snacks. Registration for participants will take place on June 2 at 9.30am in KKG.

Tribute to Kartar Singh Sarabha

LUDHIANA: To commemorate the 115th birth anniversary of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha,the students of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in collaboration with Young Writers Association paid tributes to the freedom fighter by taking out a candlelight procession inside the campus. The march was organised under the aegis of PAU Students Association. Rupinderpal Singh,a member of the students association,urged the youth to get inspiration from Sarabhas life and work for the national integrity,harmony and development.

Design competition held in PAU

LUDHIANA: Punjabi attire has been appreciated for its rich colours and designs throughout the world that reflect creativity of the designer and wearer,said PAU Registrar Dr R K Mahey,during Tantuja-2011 a creative fashion show organised by the Department of Clothing and Textiles in the Pal Auditorium. Among the 12 young designers who took part in the competition for best designer,Sakshi Sharma was declared the winner for recreating the grandeur of Mughal-e-Azam.
