Sacred Heart students bring laurels to school
Students of the Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School,Khanna,hogged limelight with outstanding CBSE Class X results. Three of its students Ishaan Batta,Gaurav Dutta and Harbir Kaur scored 10 CGPA,while nine students scored 9.8,seven students scored 9.6 and five students scored 9.4 points. Of the total 135 students,34 scored above nine point grade. Sister Fausty,principal of the school,congratulated the students,staff members and parents.
MAAC starts three-year degree course
The Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) has started Bachelor of Arts in 3D Animation and Visual Effects degree in collaboration with IGNOU . According to an official release,”A power packed three-year degree programme with the focus on creation of digital video (DV) films through intense training in concepts of film-making such as basics of film making,character animation and set-up,and compositing and editing . It also covers in-depth training on 3D animation and visual effects with node based compositing and match moving. The program offers a thorough understanding of the animation production pipeline. ”
Workshop on ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia held at DMCH
The Dayanand Medical College and Hospital organised a workshop on ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia on Sunday. Dr. Sunil Katyal emphasized on the importance of acquiring standardised skills with ultrasound machine for regional nerve blocks in surgical patients and pain management. He said that judiciously and skillfully performed nerve blocks facilitate pain management,fast-tracking,promote early mobilization,decrease hospital stay,reduce unanticipated hospital admission and reduce overall health care costs. The workshop was structured to offer a comprehensive basic update on the techniques of ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia. In addition,a multitude of comprehensive hands-on workshops were conducted to offer attendees an opportunity to acquire or improve a wide range of state of the aft regional anaesthesia techniques.
Yog Vigyan camp concludes in city
An eight-day free Yog Vigyan camp jointly conducted by the District Patanjaly Yog Samiti,Bharat Swabhiman headed by Yog Swami Ramdev ji and Raghu Nath Sewa Society concluded here at Dusehra Ground in Aggar Nagar on Sunday. In the concluding day session,around 400 sadaks from different parts of the city performed pranayam kriyas,yog asaans and vyayam under the guidance of Krishan Lal Gupta,President,Patanjali Yog Samiti. Sharma said camps will be started at Poheer and Dholan villages from June 3 to June 6 and one such at R S Model School in city from June 1.
