Benipal to challenge bail application

Reacting to the bail granted to the councillors,tehsildar,Major (retd) G S Benipal said,I will challenge the decision of the court for granting bail to the accused councillors.

Benipal,however,added that he had full faith in the judiciary. I am sure one day I will get justice, he said.

Meanwhile,the supporters of councillor Simarjit Singh Bains distributed sweets and have planned a mass procession the day the accused are released from prison.

Jagbir Singh Sokhi,SAD councillor,said,He along with others remained behind bars without committing any crime. Councillors Kamaljit Singh Karwal and Bains were not even present at the spot,still they were sent to jail. So,we will welcome our heroes.

Bains is the president of Ludhiana Youth Akali Dal.

Benipal was surprised to hear about the plans of procession. Have they won a war or have done an act of bravery? If a procession is carried out,the court should take suo motu cognizance of the matter.
