Be in office three days for public dealing works: DC

Officers must be present in their offices on Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm for public dealing works. This was stated by D C Rahul Tewari while addressing the monthly meeting on development works,at Bachat Bhawan,Wednesday.

“Field work should be done on the rest of the days,” he added. Tewari stated that Ludhiana,which used to be at the bottom when ranked in implementation of MGNREGA scheme,had ranked number 1 in the last financial year. “A total of 20.64 crores were spent to provide jobs to 24,639 beneficiaries,” he informed while praising the efforts of ADC(D) Dr Rishipal Sidhu.

Regarding ongoing development works,he asked executive officers of nagar councils to be strict with deadlines and asked them to focus on clean drinking water supply.

He stated that sewer work project of Jagraon,which is worth Rs 57 crore,will be completed by July 31. “Under Indira Awas Yozna,296 houses have also been made for the poor,” he informed.
