616 trainees pass out from Punjab Police Academy

The annual passing-out parade of the Punjab Police Academy,Phillaur,was held on Saturday.

The annual passing-out parade of the Punjab Police Academy,Phillaur,was held on Saturday. S K Sharma,Additional Director General of Police cum-Director,PPA,Phillaur took the salute. He congratulated the trainees on the successful completion of their training and wished them success in all walks of life.

Gurpreet Deo,Additional Director,Punjab Police Academy,Phillaur presented the report of the academy. A total of 616 trainees passed out,which included 18 Probationary DSPs (Punjab),6 Prob Deputy Battalion Commanders,Punjab Home Guards (PHG) and 592 lady recruits. Prob DSP Akashdeep Singh Aulakh commanded the parade.

A colourful cultural programme which included a motorcycle show,pegging of tents,mass PT,weapon-handling,a toy soldier parade and a dog show. Malkhamb and bhangra were also performed after the parade. The PPA magazine The Perspective was also released on this occasion by S K Sharma.

Among other who were present on the occasion were DIG-cum-joint director SPS Parmar,deputy director (Indoor) Gursharan Singh Sandhu,and Harinderjit Singh.
