A 50-year-old man was found dead in his room in Bhagat Singh Colony on Thursday.
Police said that Nand Lal was suspected to have died due to overconsumption of liquor. He was a heart patient.
Sub-Inspector Kamaljeet Singh, SHO of Moti Nagar police station, said that Ram Milan, the brother of the deceased, said that his brother’s body was found in his room in the morning.
Singh added that although the post-mortem report of the deceased was awaited, it was suspected that he died because of overconsumption of liquor.

Lal was a native of Uttar Pradesh. “Initial investigation revealed that he consumed liquor daily and was a heart patient. On Wednesday night too, he consumed liquor and then died in sleep. We are awaiting the post-mortem report,” said the SHO.
Police filed a case under Section 174 of the CrPC.
