1 arrested,opium seized

The Khanna police on Friday arrested Sukhwant Singh alias Sukhi,25,of Lakhmirwala village of Mansa and recovered 1 kg opium from his possession.

Sushil Kumar,Senior Superintendent of Khanna Police said that they intercepted the car at canal bridge Garhi Tarkhana check post. The car didn’t stop instead sped fast. After a chase police nabbed the vehicle and seized opium from their possession.

A case under Section 18,25,61,85 of NDPS Act was registered in with the Macchiwara police.
