After her serpentine avatar at Cannes,boldalicious Mallika Sherawat has been hooking Hollywood with a new-found sting. Overwhelmed at being in a front row spot at the famed Hollywood Bowl during a recent Sting concert in Los Angeles,she has been announcing her ‘special guest’ with her tweet,”Desert Rose as an encore!” The after party was a dream come true for the anything-for-attention actress as she got a chance to mingle with the likes of Robert Downey Jr,Gary Oldman and Pierce Brosnan. While she might be beaming over her Hollywood life,one wonders whether countrymen should celebrate Hollywood’s love for her bold act,or whine over still being thought of as the ‘land of snakes’ by the Western counterparts.

Jackky heights
Having bagged the Most Promising Star of the Year at the IIFA awards,Jackky Bhagnani is turning modest after his new found success. Playing the magnanimous actor,he has given all the credit Hrithik Roshan for inspiring him to loose weight and take up acting as a ‘serious’ career choice. He claims to have been in awe of Hrithik’s performance and dancing skills in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. Apparently,it was then that he decided to lose weight and managed to shed a whopping 60 odd kilos. Now when Shah Rukh Khan calls Dilip Kumar his idol,we get the sentiment. But Jackky’s tribute isn’t gathering any awe in Jill-town.

Two of not a kind
Dhamaal 2 gets bigger and better as the two reigning Bollywood actresses,Vidya Balan and Kangna Ranaut,are all set to join the cast as the leading ladies opposite Sanjay Dutt and Riteish Deshmukh. This would be the first time these girls will be working together. We hope there are no catfights between the chalk-and-cheese-like actresses. Dhamaal was a hilarious riot. Let’s wait and watch if the sequel matches the original in terms of the comic quotient. In that case a little “meowing” around might help to bell the audiences.
