Undertrial arrested

An undertrial,who escaped from police custody last week,has been arrested by the state Special Task Force from Aligarh. Acting on a tip-off,the STF arrested Bobby from station road on late Tuesday night when he was trying to contact his gang members. Bobby was wanted in about six criminal cases lodged at different police stations of Aligarh.

Two dead in accident
Two persons died and six were injured in a road accident in Bahraich district on late Tuesday night. The accident occurred on the Gonda-Bahriach road when a vehicle hit a jeep.

Three ‘wanted’ Nepalese held
Three Nepalese wanted by Mumbai police were arrested by the state police on Tuesday. The accused,residents of Kaligate district of Nepal,were arrested in Kheri district by the Customs police of Gaurifanta and one kilogram gold was recovered from their possession.

Expressway near Dehra
The state government has decided to construct an eight-lane restricted entry expressway near Dehra on the right bank of the upper Ganga canal at the UP-Uttarkhand border.
