A large number of people from various parts of the state reached Lucknow to share their grievances with Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav at his Janata Darshan programme at his official residence 5,Kalidas Marg,today.
The CM,who resumed his Janata Darshan programme after a gap of about four months,spared more than six hours to hear the problems of his visitors. He had held the last Janata Darshan programme on May 3.
Expecting the arrival of a huge crowd for the programme,this time the Lucknow district administration made better arrangements to avoid any chance of law and order problems near the CM residence. Unlike previous occasions,the administration arranged separate galleries for male and female visitors. The administration also got installed tents this time.
In view of the large gathering of people,Akhilesh engaged his four ministers Health Minister Ahamad Hasan,Revenue Minister Ambika Choudhari,Animal Husbandry Minister Parasnath Yadav and Minister of State Narendra Verma in helping him to receive the applications from the visitors.
Smita,who was one of those who met the chief minister,however,was not sure whether her work will be done. Although the CM personally received my application,he did not give any direction to his officials in writing. So,I am doubtful of getting desired results, she said.
She is posted as a teacher in an Inter College,Salempur (Deoria),and her husband also works as teacher in a school in Modinagar near Ghaziabad. I want to be posted in Modinagar, she added.
Swami Udyanand,who runs Vishwa Mandal Jan Evam Gau Sewa Ashram at Tundala in Firozabad district,wanted the CM to arrange for about Rs 2 lakh of government fund for installing submersible pump at ashram premises. Government officials told me that it is possible for an MP or MLA to allot money from their fund for submersible pumps, he said.
A youth Durgesh,who had come from Medhakur village in Agra,wanted to share the problems which he continues to face in getting permit for running an auto rickshaw. I have been regularly visiting the RTO office to get permit to run my auto rickshaw. No one is hearing my problem. So,I am here, he told The Indian Express.
Sumati Pal Kashyam was fed up with his failure to get possession of a pond which he had got on patta at his village Sarwat in Muzaffarnagar district. I had got patta for this pond during the BSP regime after paying Rs 3,200. The patta is meant for 10 years. But the influential farmers are not allowing me to take possession of the pond, he said.
Meanwhile,a group of BTC (Basic Teaching Certificate) holders,who wanted to hold a demonstration,were dispersed by the police.
