It’s been a great year and I have to thank Vishal Bharadwaj —he had the faith in me,even before I did,to pull off the two characters. And without Priyanka Chopra,Guddu and Kaminey both are incomplete.

This year I have done movies that I really believed in. But this one’s special because it has come from my audience who appreciate my work. I would particularly like to thank Renzil D’Silva for giving me Kurbaan,a movie I completely believed in. And I would like to thank Raju (Hirani) for giving me my biggest hit.

Abhishek: This is my second consecutive Best Jodi award. Though I have won both of these along with men,winning the award with my father makes me proud. For next year,I will have to find another man now.

Shah Rukh Khan: It’s been so many years since I last did a film with Kajol—Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001. She has been busy with her family. I am now looking forward to the release of My Name is Khan so we can revive the magic.

I was not expecting this at all and having won the award has rendered me speechless. I am going to celebrate this with my family who are seated in the audience.

It has been my toughest role since I had to portray an unhappy person. I never thought people could like such an unpleasant character,but I guess the detailing with which Raju Hirani defined the character appealed to people.

I was nervous about playing grandmother to Mr Amitabh Bachchan but my theatre background helped me. The role was very pleasant and I really enjoyed doing the film.
