The Allahabad unit of the Special Task Force (STF) will be investigating the disappearance of Nitish Yadav, son of state government’s standing counsel in Allahabad High Court, after the police failed to make any headway in the case. Nitish (19) had gone missing on November 6 after attending school — Bishop Johnson School in Civil Lines.

“We have just received the case and are studying it. We are sure of making headway soon,” said STF in-charge Navendu Kumar.

While the police are of the opinion that Nitish had run away from home, his father Vivekanand Yadav suspects it to be a case of kidnapping.

According to Vivekanand,a resident of Rambagh, his son was receiving threats from some students of his school and alleged that a school bus owner named Pervez had abducted Nitish.
