Exhibiting great fighting qualities and neat potting at the right time,host cueist,Siddharth Mehra prevailed over,Anuj Mahajan of the Lucknow Cue Sports Association by 67-52 and 61-59 points in the snooker singles semi-final to earn a clash with Ashar Abrar in the final of the Ninth Pool Palace Annual Snooker Tournament.
Winning the closely contested first frame by capitalising well on the 7 handicap points advantage,Siddarth was way behind in the second frame trailing Anuj by 35-50 but making two wonderful snookers he extracted 13 penalty points and then followed it up by potting the vital pink and black balls to win the frame and match.
Earlier,Siddharth playing against his teammate,Sameen Malik in the last quarter-final tie of the snooker singles,was right on cue potting with confidence to register a straight frames victory by 77-41 and 70-28 points to enter the semis.
