A treat awaits art patrons at the State Lalit Kala Akademy (Lal Baradari) comprising prize winning entries by artists and sculptors from all over the state. After the distribution of prizes,the exhibition was inaugurated on Friday evening displaying some amazing work. Stabdh by Sita Vishwakarma of Lucknow is a watercolour displaying the lifeless Parvati in the arms of an astounded Shiva,while Pillow Talk,sculpted in sandstone by Rajesh Pratap Singh,is remarkable for the wrinkles that make believe it is a pair of cushions that has just been leaned on…till you touch the hard material. Householder in cement by Sandhya Singh of Lucknow is a figurine in a striking pose,while other artists and sculptors work such as Akhandata by Ekta of Varanasi,My Life Pragati Agrawal are notable too. The show is on till March 7 open from 11 am to 6 pm.
