An impressive 89-run knock by Nilendra Pratap Singh helped Surya Sports Club in defeating Avadh Tigers Cricket Academy by four wickets in their quarter-final match of the 3rd Eram Cup Cricket Tournament.

An impressive 89-run knock by Nilendra Pratap Singh helped Surya Sports Club in defeating Avadh Tigers Cricket Academy by four wickets in their quarter-final match of the 3rd Eram Cup Cricket Tournament at Northern Railway Stadium,Lucknow on Wednesday. Nilendra’s 89 resulted off 67 balls and featured seven fours and four lofty sixes. In another quarter-final of the same tourney,Abhijeet Sinha Cricket Academy (ASCA) defeated Shubham Soti Cricket Club by 38 runs.

In the match between Avadh Tigers Cricket Academy and Surya Sports Club,batting first,Avadh Tigers scored 184 runs losing nine wickets in the given 30 overs. In reply,Surya Sports Club romped home after attaining the set mark in 28 overs with four wickets to spare.The star performer on behalf of the Avadh Tigers was Bunty Singh. Bunty scored 70 runs off 72 balls which featured seven boundaries and a six.

(2nd quarter-final):- ASCA: 129 for eight in 25 overs ( Amrendra Tiwari 36,Sandeep 20,Sandeep Pandey 17; Shiva Singh 2 for 6,Gaurav Srivastava 2 for 13,Vishwendra Singh 2 for 29); Shubham Soti Cricket Club: 91 all out in 22 overs ( Azeem Siddiqui 40; Sandeep Pandey 3 for 9,Suyash Gupta 3 for 22,Shreyans Arya 2 for 17).

Boxing camp

A ten-day state sub-junior girls boxing camp is being organised at KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium,Lucknow. The selected girls will be taking part in the sub-junior girls national boxing championships to be held at Coimbatore from July 24 to 28.
