Experienced chess player Nasir Ali collected all possible six points to gain lead in the Mool Chandra memorial Lucknow district chess championship.

According to tournament official Hemesh,in some of the important sixth round matches played on Sunday,second seeded Nasir Ali defeated top seeded player Deepak Katiyar,Junaid Ahmed beat Rajendra Kumar,Sunil Kumar beat Pankaj Saxena,Kuldeep Shanker beat David Young and Sayeed Ahmed beat Abhijeet Srivastava.

THE 5th KN Srivastava and JR Singh Memorial Lucknow Open Bridge Tournament came to an end at VKS Varadan Autitorium,Geological Survey of India (GSI) Complex,Aliganj,Lucknow on Sunday.

In the T-4 Duplicate event,for KN Srivastava Memorial Running Trophy,the top honours went to the following: Winners: BN Rastogi,AK Sinha,Shantanu Rastogi,GN Mehrotra,RP Narain; Runners-up: JS Kaul,S Lahiri,SK Richaria,Col. RP Srivastava,Mukul Gupta,SA Abbasi; Home team best score (GSI): HP Mishra,AK Srivastava,IP Bajpai,VN Bajpai;

In the Master Pair event,for JR Singh Memorial Running Trophy,following combinations walked away with the top honours: Winners: JS Kaul,S Lahiri; Runners-up: BN Rastogi,AK Sinha; 2nd runners-up: SH Zaheer,CP Gupta; Home team best pair (GSI): VN Bajpai,IP Bajpai.
