The final flag-hoisting ceremony to mark the completion of the main Ram Temple is set to take place on November 25. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the event.

The Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra has urged people not to plan their visit to the temple that day. At the same time, the district administration and the temple Trust are gearing up for an expected surge in visitors on the morning of November 26. They plan to extend the darshan timing to accommodate the crowd.

Officials said a huge rush of people was seen a day after the first consecration ceremony in 2024. Sources said that keeping in mind the preparations and security arrangements, “VIP” darshans would be stopped from November 24 itself, and the restrictions would continue till January 26.

What to expect on Tuesday

On November 25, the main flag, which weighs 11 kilograms and is 22 feet wide, will be hoisted on the main spire of the temple, at a height of 191 feet from the ground.

Apart from the main flag, seven more flags or “Dhwaja rohan” will also take place on the temple premises the same day.

About 6,000 guests, largely from the neighbouring regions, have been invited for the ceremony. Trust officials said that a colour-based security plan has been prepared for the event.

“Different regions have been assigned a different colour: buses belonging to a particular region will have flags and banners of the same colour. The entry tickets and the seating arrangements at the event will also be highlighted with the same colour. Yellow has been assigned to Kashi prant, red to Awadh, green to Gorakh, and sky blue to Kanpur prant. Fifteen guest seating blocks have been created,” said a Trust official.
