Gadkari in Lucknow on July 4
The BJP national president,Nitin Gadkari,will address party workers in Lucknow on July 4. He will discuss issues like increase in petrol prices and inflation and also the partys plan of action in this regard,said state unit spokesperson H N Dixit. This is the first time that Gadkari will visit the state since he took over as the national president. He will meet workers at a function organised at Nirala Nagar. The party will hold statewide protests against petrol price hike and inflation at village and ward levels between July 1 and 3,said Dixit.

Pay panel benefits for panchayat officials
The state government on Tuesday ordered that the officers and employees of the district panchayats be given the benefits they are entitled to in accordance with the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations. Nearly,6,000 employees would be benefited by this decision.
