Hockey trials

Karamat Husain Muslim Girls’ PG College,Lucknow has been adopted as hockey training centre by Sports Authority of India under the implementation of the scheme of “extension centre of STC/SAG Centres to cover schools/ colleges for wider coverage”.

Karamat Husain Muslim Girls’ PG College,Lucknow has been adopted as hockey training centre by Sports Authority of India (SAI) under the implementation of the scheme of “extension centre of STC/SAG Centres to cover schools/ colleges for wider coverage”. The selection trials for the same will be conducted at the college grounds at 3.00 pm on March 23. Girls between 14 to 21 years of age can take part in the trials.

The selection of players will be done by a selection committee formed by SAI Sub-Centre Lucknow. The committee comprises of Rashid Khan (SAI coach),Olympian Syed Ali,M Abbas (hockey coach,Karamat College) and principal of Karamat College or the principal’s representative. As per a press release from Karamat College,the girls selected for training will be getting a monthly scholarship and free kit from SAI. Those interested may contact Karamat College for details.
