Jumping into the debate on Rahul Gandhis prospects as Prime Minister,BJP leader Maneka Gandhi on Monday said the moot question is whether people are ready to bring Congress back to power despite several scams during the party-led UPA government at the Centre. The question is whether the country wants Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister. Whether the people want the Congress under which numerous scams have taken place in power again, she said at Badaun. On an election trail in UP,sister and Congress star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi had said that for Rahul the post of party president or Prime Minister was not important. For him,his mission of development was more important,she had said. On Priyankas remarks that Rahul gives time to his constituency and works for its development,Maneka said all MPs serve their electorate and develop their constituencies.

Rahul immature,has a long way to go

Taking potshots at Rahul Gandhi,BJP Spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Monday said the Congress leader was on political probation and still had a long way to go. I wont say he is immature but after hearing him,you get a feel that he is still on political probation which can extend for many more days, Rudy said in Kanpur. On Rahuls remarks that the BJP was fighting for survival in Uttar Pradesh,Rudy said we will like to remind him that in the previous assembly election,our party was way ahead of the Congress.

Rahul is dreaming,Congress will get only 20 seats

SP leader Ramgopal Yadav ridiculed Rahul Gandhi for his remark that the Congress will not forge post-poll alliance with either SP or BSP and said how can Congress do so when it will not get more than 20 seats in the Uttar Pradesh polls. Rahul is saying that his party will not forge any post-poll alliance with any party. How can it do so?…Congress will not get more then 20 seats in the UP, he told a poll rally in Bhadohi in support of party candidate from Gyanpur seat,Vijay Mishra,who is currently lodged in Meerut jail.
