Drunk driver kills boy,lynched

A man was lynched for ramming his SUV into a Dalit hutment that resulted in the death of an eight-year-old boy in Suriyawan area of Sant Ravidas Nagar district on Wednesday night.

Bhola Gosai,who was driving in an inebriated condition,was lynched on the spot by locals. The police had a tough time pacifying the agitated mob and force was deployed in Goharwa village to avoid any untoward incident.

Ravidas Nagar SP Ashutosh Kumar said the incident took place when Gosai – who used to run a travel agency was on his way to his home along with friends. He lost control over his Scorpio (MH 05-1625) and rammed the stacks of bricks lying beside the road at the village. As he turned the car,it entered the hutment of Shiv Kumar and ran over his wife Pramila and sons Pawan (8) and Pankaj (10). While Pawan died on the spot,the others suffered serious injuries.
