Double delight for Arjun,Eeshita

Uttar Pradesh players Arjun Singh and Eeshita Pandey won double crowns in the AITA Talent Series tennis tournament which came to a close in Lucknow on Thursday.

Uttar Pradesh players Arjun Singh and Eeshita Pandey won double crowns in the AITA Talent Series tennis tournament which came to a close in Lucknow on Thursday. In the boys under-14 singles final,Arjun beat Ankit Rao 6-0,6-1. Later pairing with Piyush Trivedi,he beat Chinmay Chauhan and Mridul Kharkwal 6-4,3-6,10-6 to claim the boys under-14 doubles final.

In the girls under-14 singles final,Eeshita Pandey (seed-7) beat Shubhi Dwivedi (seed-1) 6-0,6-1 while in the under-14 girls doubles finals,pairing with Roopanshi Dixit,she beat Shubhi Dwivedi and Pragya Sinha 8-4. Amit Beniwal emerged winner in the boys under-12 singles final. Somya Singh won the girls under-12 singles title.

The prize distribution function of Lt. Col. CN Nanjappa Memorial Cricket Tournament took place in Lucknow on Thursday. Seasoned cricket coach Deepak Sharma and secretary Cricket Association Lucknow (CAL) Khalique Mukhtar Khan gave away the prizes.

Eram Club,Lucknow beat Young Friends Club,Delhi by 53 runs while Arman Academy,Lucknow defeated Firozabad Cricket Academy by 70 runs in their semi-final matches of the Crystal Trophy cricket tournament,in Lucknow on Thursday.
