Lucknow XI triumph

LUCKNOW defeated Allahabad by 20 runs in their league match of the 1st ABC Cup cricket tournament at Northern Railway Stadium,Lucknow on Wednesday. In another league match of the same tourney,Delhi defeated Kanpur by four wickets.

Armaan Academy wins final

ARMAAN Academy defeated NYCC XI by four wickets in the final of the Eliya Cup played at Sahara States,Lucknow on Thursday. Batting first,NYCC XI scored 155 runs losing six wickets in the given 25 overs. In reply,Armaan Academy romped home after attaining the set mark in 21 overs with four wickets to spare.

Aouz’s ton in LCA win

AOUZ Naqvi blasted a century as his team— LCA beat Lawyers XI by 179 runs in their knock-out stage match of the Shivesh Majumdar Memorial Cricket Tournament at Pt. RB Tiwari Stadium,Lucknow on Wednesday.

It may be mentioned that 15 overs of the Lawyers XI innings were deducted for reporting late at the venue.

Choosing to bat first,LCA mustered 247 runs at the cost of five wickets in the given 40 overs,thanks to the century by Aouz Naqvi (105 off 113 balls,8×4) and responsible batting efforts from Yashverdhan (40),Asif Hussain (33) and Avneesh Pathak (27 not out).

In reply,Lawyers XI was bowled out at a total of 68 runs in 11.2 overs. Very few batsmen could even reach the double-digit mark. Asif Hussain claimed four wickets conceding 6 runs in his 1.2 over spell.

Vijayant Raj also took four wickets while Harish Khan claimed two wickets.
