Cop’s wife found dead at home, police suspect she was strangulated

“The main door of the house was not locked from inside… The body has been sent for postmortem and its report is still awaited. We suspect that the woman was strangulated as we found marks around her neck,” said a police officer.
The woman’s husband is posted at Railway Police Force (RPF) in Tundala in Firozabad.

“The woman was staying alone in the house for the last one week. Her two sons are out of the station and her daughter is married in Madhya Pradesh,” said Station House Officer (Dhoomanganj) Rajesh Kumar Maurya.

According to police, when Pushpa Devi did not pick up calls from her daughter on Sunday morning, she suspected some foul play. She asked the neighbour to check on her mother.
