Forest department rescues leopard
The state Forest department rescued an eight-month-old leopard from Nishangada range in the Katarniyaghat wildlife range in Behraich district on Monday morning. The forest department team tranquilised the leopard and is now under observation.

Boy commits ‘suicide’
Seventeen-year-old Abhishek Pratap allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with the licence revolver of his father,Ajit Pratap,at his residence in Vikas Nagar area on Monday evening. No suicide note has been found.

Police prepare directory
Ghaziabad: In an effort to strengthen public belief in the police,Superintendent of Police (Rural) Captain M M Baig has launched an innovative initiative. Baig has prepared a directory of people who can be contacted by the police to ascertain facts about any case in pertaining to their area.SP Baig will be inaugurating the directory on Wednesday and said it will be meant for use only by senior police officers.
