BJP announces poll candidates

The BJP announced four candidates for the forthcoming Assembly bypolls and one candidate for the graduate constituency of the Legislative Council on Friday.

Ending all speculations regarding the candidate for the Lucknow West seat,vacated after the sitting MLA Lalji Tandon became the MP,the party gave the ticket to Amit Puri. Rajesh Pandey alias ‘Guddu Pandey’ has been chosen for the Padrauna seat,while Ravi Sharma and Anirudh have been nominated for the Jhansi and the Haiserbazaar (reserved) seats respectively. The party has nominated former minister Dr Nepal Singh as the candidate for the graduate constituency from Moradabad-Bareilly.
