AMU’s student exchange programme with US varsity extended for 3 yrs

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with University of Wisconsin in Madison,USA,to extend the students’ exchange programme between the two universities for three years.

AMU Vice-Chancellor Lt Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah signed the MoU along with Prof. Paul DeLuca,Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs,and Prof. David Joiner,Director for Global Engagement and Leadership,Wisconsin University,during his ongoing tour of the US.

Shah is presently on a visit to the US to participate in the annual convention of Federation of AMU Alumni Associations there.

University spokesperson Rahat Abrar said AMU had first signed the MoU with University of Wisconsin in 2008 and eight AMU students of biochemistry and biotechnology have so far been provided the opportunity to study at the US university under the academic exchange programme.
